Political Science Does Not kill! A Seminar in Southern Thailand

The Center for Global Nonkilling will organize a panel nonkilling political science on December 1-2 at the Prince of Songkhla University in Haad Yai, Southern Thailand. The panel follows the title of the Thai translation of Glenn D. Paige’s book Nonkilling Global Political Science, Rát-tà-sàat mâi kâa (“Political Science does not kill!”).

The panel will feature Prof. Piya Kitthavorn, Dean of the Faculty of Political Science at Prince of Songkhla University, Prof. Chaiwat Satha-Anand, CGNK Leadership Team member and Professor at Thammasad University, Janjira Sombutpoonsiri, Ph.D. candiate at La Trobe University and CGNK researcher on violence against sacred spaces, Poom-In Singhchawala, lecturer at Chiangmai University, Chayanit Poonyasup, lecturer from Thammasat University who now teaches violence and nonviolence in politics, and Sirote Klampaiboon, translator of the Thai edition.
