Nonkilling in Oxford University Peace Encylopedia

A four-page article on “Nonkilling” has been included in The Oxford International Encyclopedia of Peace (vol. 3), edited by Nigel Young and published in 2010 by Oxford University Press with a Foreword by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The entry was prepared by CGNK Research Team Leader Joám Evans Pim. This is the third encyclopedic entry on nonkilling, following previous articles in UNESCO’s Encyclopedia of Life Support Systems and the Encyclopedia of Violence, Peace and Conflict.

This innovative, multivolume Encyclopedia charts the interdisciplinary field of Peace Studies, offering a comprehensive survey of the full range of historical, political, theoretical and philosophical issues relating to peace and conflict. The Encyclopedia has recently been designated “Book of the Year 2010” by the Council of the Conflict Research Society (CRS) and has received positive reviews in Library Journal, Booklist, Choice, Peace Magazine and Resurgence.
