Tribute to Glenn Paige at the University of Chittagong

A Memorial event with the title “Tribute to the Father of Nonkilling Global Political Science: Professor Glenn D. paige” was organized by the Centre for Nonkilling and Development (proposed) at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, with the support of Prottyashi Social Welfare Organization. The event took place on March 2, starting at 2 pm, at Prottyashi Head Office’s Conference Hall, in Chittagong. Over 100 people attended.

Speakers included chief guest Professor Iftekar Uddin Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong, and special guests Professor Shireen Akhter, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Chittagong, Professor NHM Abu Bakar, Chairman of the Department of Philosophy of the University of Chittagong and Secretary General of Religion for Peace Chittagong Chapter, and Engineer Subash Chandra Barua. The event was chaired by Dipok Kumar Chowdhury, member of Prottyashi’s Executive Committee.

The event has been made possible by Professor Rashida Khanam, founder of the Centre for Nonkilling and Development at the University of Chittagong, which is in process of incorporation, and translator of the Bangla edition of Glenn Paige’s book Nonkilling Global Political Science.
