Partners
The Center forms partnerships with individual organizations to help leverage the resources of each organization by sharing information, new findings and capabilities that contribute to reducing killing in the world. While some partnerships are more general and lasting, others are focused on specific projects or activities, usually involving research, educational, policy-making, governmental, religious, and other organizations working on issues related to nonkilling.

The Brazilian Institute for Nonkilling (INAM) is a Brazilian-based nonprofit established in 2009 to promote nonkilling through education, policy and research initiatives. INAM has been partnering with CGNK on the development of a Global Nonkilling Observatory at the Itajaí Valley University and a Portuguese edition of Nonkilling Global Political Science published by the Federal University of Pernambuco Press. The Centre Caraïbéen pour la Non-Violence Globale et le Développement Durable is a Haitian nonprofit fostering nonviolence, nonkilling and sustainable development through research, training and action orientated projects since 2004. Through a series of initiatives, it has emphasized the positive aspects in Hati's history and culture, building creative nonkilling alternatives. The Federal University of Pernambuco's Dom Hélder Câmara Human Rights Commission was established in 1998 as a multidisciplinary entity working toward the promotion, monitoring, education, research, and university extension of Human Rights. Including academics, students, university workers and civil society organizations, the Commission has an important role in the dissemination and applications of the concepts peace and nonkilling in Brazil's Northeastern state of Pernambuco. Human Dignity and Humiliation Studies is a global transdisciplinary network and fellowship of concerned academics and practitioners focused on the stimulation of systemic change toward ending humiliating practices and breaking cycles of humiliation. Mleci / Glenn Paige Nonkilling School is an educational initiative focused on the needs of the local children from Kazimia-Katondje, Great Lakes region of the DR Congo. The school and kindergarten has over 200 students and, as part of its innovative program, teaches nonkilling through an adapted consensation of CGNK's materials into Kiswahili. The Orient Center for Studies and Cultural Dialogue is a Jordanian nonprofit dedicated to the advancement of peaceful and democratic dialogue between cultures, particularly in the Middle East, based on the principles of nonviolence, political participation, human rights and dialogue of civilizations. The Orient Center translated and promoted the publication of an Arabic edition of Nonkilling Global Political Science at the University of Jordan and supports various CGNK's projects in the region. The Philippine Institute for Global Nonkilling is a center for nonkilling research and training established at Kalayaan College, Quezon City, Philippines. The Institute is part of the Movement for a Nonkilling Philippines and provides regular reports on violence and nonkilling interventions through monitoring and mapping projects. Kalayaan College was also pioneer lauching the book Towards a Nonkilling Filipino Society in 2004 and a Filipino translation of Nonkilling Global Political Science in 2007. Website.

The University of Hawa'i's Spark Matsunaga Institute for Peace is a multi-disciplinary academic community of scholars, students, practitioners, and visitors who, through teaching, research, service and application, seek to educate, train and develop applications on peacemaking and conflict resolution. Established in 1985, the Institute has been instrumental in the development of CGNK and is still supportive promoting joint events and publications and making available university facilities. The World Education Forum 2010 will be held in Santiago de Compostela from December the 9th to the 13th under the auspices of the United Nations and UNESCO focusing on peace education, peace research and culture of peace. It will run joitly with the UN’s Alliance of Civilizations High-level Group and the Decade for a Culture of Peace coordinators meetings, providing an opportunity to evaluate the level of achievement of both programs and the Millennium Development Goals. Besides producing a German translation of Nonkilling Global Political Science it commits important efforts to introduce nonkilling in the arts and to bring to public consciousness the nonkilling legacy of Petra Kelly (1947-1992). The Zero a Seis (Zero to Six) Institute for Early Childhood and Culture of Peace is a Brazilian nonprofit that fosters a culture of peace and nonviolence focusing on the stages ranging from prenatal to early childhood, sharing and applying research findings related to psychological, neurological and social human development. Complementing the Nonkilling Primary School Guide (ages 7 to 14) that is being developed by CGNK, Zero a Seis will create and adapt learning materials, games and exercises for early childhood.
