    Networks integrate groups of organizations tied together by common values, visions or ideas toward the promotion of certain goals. The Center participates in networks, alliances and campaigns with other international institutions and civil society organizations with interests related to nonkilling, creating essential linkages for learning, outreach, communications and project implementation.


    World Campaign

    The World Campaign for In-Depth Reform of the System of International Institutions intends to encourage a series of reforms of International Institutions towards a global system of democratic governance, through representative procedures involving the participation of all the actors in the global arena, contributing to building a fairer, more equitable, diverse, sustainable and peaceful world.     Ubuntu

    Ubuntu - World Forum of Civil Society Networks' main objective is to unite and federate efforts amongst national and international institutions which are focused on promoting peace, endogenous development, dignity and human rights. The ultimate goal is to promote the construction of a world that is more human, just, peaceful, diverse and sustainable, thus contributing to bring about a transition from a culture based on force and imposition towards a culture of peace, dialogue, justice, equity, and solidarity.     Earth Charter

    The Earth Charter Initiative is is an extraordinarily diverse, global network of people, organizations, and institutions that participate in promoting and implementing the values and principles of the Earth Charter. The Initiative is a broad-based, voluntary, civil society effort. Participants include leading international institutions, national governments and their agencies, university associations, NGOs and community-based groups, city governments, faith groups, schools and businesse–as well as thousands of individuals.     End Poverty

    End poverty by 2015 is the historic promise 189 world leaders made at the United Nations Millennium Summit in 2000 when they signed onto the Millennium Declaration and agreed to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). The United Nations Millennium Campaign supports and inspires people from around the world to take action in support of the Millennium Development Goal. Website.

     

    Global Transparency

    The Global Transparency Initiative is a network of civil society organisations promoting openness in the International Financial Institutions (IFIs), such as the World Bank, the IMF, the European Investment Bank and Regional Development Banks. The GTI believes the people have a right to information from public institutions and a right to participate in the development policies and projects that affect their lives. Website.

     

    Coalition for the International Criminal Court

    The Coalition for the International Criminal Court includes 2,500 organizations around the world working in partnership to strengthen international cooperation with the International Criminal Court; ensure that the Court is fair, effective and independent; make justice both visible and universal; and advance stronger national laws that deliver justice to victims of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide.     Small Arms

    The International Action Network on Small Arms is the global movement against gun violence -a network of 800 civil society organisations working in 120 countries to stop the proliferation and misuse of small arms and light weapons. IANSA seeks to make people safer from gun violence by securing stronger regulation on guns in society and better controls on arms exports. Website.

     

    Peace, justice and environment

    The Peace, Justice and Environment Project is present in 43 US states representing over 1000 local groups and organizations that use the Actions Options Tool web application to facilitate online communication and cooperation. The website application offers an online actions center, campaigns (petitions, e-letters, boycotts, fundraisers), calendars, resource center, forum and personalized Social Networking Political and Action Pages.     Alliance 21

    The Alliance for a Responsible, Plural and United World is an informal network made of people, institutions and movements that are aware of the complexity of contemporary problems and seek to find the necessary mutations so that we can together act upon the future. It is based on the Platform text drafted in 1993, that calls for a diagnosis on the nature and causes of the main crisis points of our world and to share the common values and principles for action aiming for a more responsible and united world.     Kuleana Hawaii

     

    Kuleana Hawai'i is a network of Hawaiian civil society groups and organizations working on the promotion of human, social and environmental rights in the Islands. The network encourages coopetaion and communication between participating organizations through the exchange of ideas, expertise and resources . The Center for Global Nonkilling participated in the establishment of Kuleana Hawai'i as a founding member. Website.

     

    Wiser Earth

    WiserEarth is a free-to-use, non-commercial, online community space which has been created for the people, nonprofit organizations and private organizations who are working to create a more just and sustainable world. This initiative was created to help the people and organizations increase their collective awareness, reduce the duplication of efforts, and facilitate better connectivity with the aim of increasing overall effectiveness to prevent harm and institute positive change.     End Poverty

    The World March for Peace and Nonviolence will begin in New Zealand on October 2, 2009, the anniversary of Gandhi’s birth, declared the “International Day of Nonviolence” by the United Nations. It will conclude in the Andes Mountains (Argentina) on January 2, 2010. The March will last 90 days and has the ultimate goal of creating global awareness of the urgent need to condemn of all forms of violence and bring about real Peace. Website.
