One way ideas become “viral” and spread relatively quickly, is through discussion and dialogue. For the realization of nonkilling societies to become an idea embraced widely by people around the world, people will need to work through the potential arguments against nonkilling, the potential barriers of worldviews that do not place a priority on life, religious and cultural forces for and against nonkilling, among other challenges. Based on the groundbreaking book, Nonkilling Global Political Science (Paige, 2002), the World Report on Violence and Health (World Health Organization, 2002) and other materials, the Center will provide a discussion guide on nonkilling for those who wish to convene groups in various settings.
