New Brazilian Edition Launched
The Brazilian edition of Nonkilling Global Political Science, by Glenn D. Paige, was launched on December 22 at the Auditorium of the Federal University of Pernambuco Press, in Recife (Pernambuco). All top university officials and distinguished guests from the city and state governments attended.
In a beautiful, touching ceremony, Professor Francisco Gomes de Matos, author of CGNK’s book Nurturing Nonkilling: A Poetic Plantation, introduced the book, its significance and the author. The University Rector, Professor Amaro Lins, also thanked the Center for Global Nonkilling, who promoted the edition with the Brazilian Institute for Nonkilling. The Rector is also author of this edition’s Preface, published in memory of peace advocate and former director of the University Press, Professor Gilda Maria Lins de Araujo.
This new edition was released with the title Não matar é possível. Por uma nova ciência política global (ISBN 978-85-7315-673-7) and will soon be available for sale in all major Brazilian book retailers. It was tranlated from its original in English by Bárbara Kristensen and revised by Julio Vila Nova and Joám Evans Pim.
