Glenn Paige honored with Distinguished Peace Leadership Award
The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation will honor CGNK’s Founder and Governing Council Chair Glenn D. Paige with the Foundation’s Distinguished Peace Leadership Award. The award ceremony will take place during the 27th Annual Evening for Peace, that will be held at Santa Barbara, CA, on October 29, also honoring Reverend James Lawson, mentor to Martin Luther King, Jr.
Professor Glenn D. Paige had been awarded other honors in the past, including Seikyo Culture Prize (Japan, 1982), Ramachandran Award for International Understanding (India, 1986), Anuvrat Award for International Peace (India, 1987), Distinguished Life Fellow, Delhi School of Nonviolence (India, 1992), Honorary Ph.D., Soka University (Japan, 1992), Jai Tulsi Anuvrat Award (India, 1995), Orden de Mérito Guillermo Gaviria Correa (Colombia, 2004), Distinguished Career Award, American Political Science Association (2004), Lifetime Peacemaker Award (2005) and Peace Day Hawai‘i Award (2008).
The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation initiates and supports worldwide efforts to abolish nuclear weapons, to strengthen international law and institutions, and to inspire and empower a new generation of peace leaders. Founded in 1982, the Foundation is comprised of individuals and organizations worldwide who realize the imperative for peace in the Nuclear Age. The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan international education and advocacy organization. It has consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council and is recognized by the UN as a Peace Messenger Organization.
