Nonkilling at Igniting Minds Lecture Series, Bhopal, India

At the invitation of Professor Dr. Anoop Swarup, Vice Chancellor of new Jagran Lakecity University in Bhopal, India, Dr. Bill Bhaneja Vice Chair of CGNK participted in the Igniting Minds Lecture Series organized by the University’s School of Law & School of Humanities and Arts. Bill met on February 12 and 13 with the faculty and students and delivered a keynote address on “Nonkilling Society” outlining finer distinctions between peace, nonviolence and nonkilling and imminent importance of Nonkilling in the 21st Century. Dr. Bhaneka explained how killing of a “human” by a “human” which includes homicide to genocide, wars, capital punishment, suicide, … must stop. Closer interactions were held with the school of law and the school of media studies students where Bill responded to their probing questions. The keynote presentation can be downloaded here in PDF.
