Nonkilling Global Political Science published in Japanese

A Japanese translation of Glenn D. Paige’s book Nonkilling Global Political Science is to be released on June 1 under the imprint of Minerva Shobo and distributed widely throughout the country. The new edition, under the title Satsuriku naki gurobaru seijigaku ( 殺戮なきグローバル政治学 ) can be purchased online or in bookstores in Japan (ISBN 9784623085491).

This Japanese edition was made possible through the work of numerous individuals and, ultimately, through the guidance of Prof. Hidekazu Sakai. The important contributions to translation and editing by Prof. Yukio Okamoto, Mona Ohya K. Meyer and Prof. Hidekazu Sakai were tantamount to the completion of this project.

The process to produce a Japanese translation of Nonkilling Global Political Science started in 2003 and took 16 years from the first steps to the final release. The resulting book has been carefully crafted and is of great significance in cultural and political terms, joining existing editions in 30 languages.
